SUNDAY SCHOOL
THE FOUNDATIONS OF LIFE,
WHERE GOD PLAYS A ROLE,
IS LAID HERE.
The combination of attending worship services regularly and taking part in Sunday School is vital to our children's Christian nurturing. With abundant blessings and grace of the Almighty, we started Sunday School activities in 2011, under the able guidance of Rev. Sam John.
From a handful of children in the beginning, our Sunday School currently has 38 registered children over 6 Grades, and 13 teachers. The lessons are planned as per the Marthoma Sunday School curriculum of the (formerly) Diocese of North America and Europe, and delivered online every week by committed and dedicated volunteer teachers. The Sunday School takes an active effort in building and nurturing our children’s faith and their relationship with Christ. Events and platforms such as the annual VBS, World Sunday School Day celebrations, Nativity plays, Junior Choir and talent competitions, are organised regularly towards this mission.
Mrs Achamma Abraham served as our first Sunday School Head Teacher, followed by Dr. Nisha Thomas who has been serving as Head Teacher since 2012.
Teaching for Sunday School is voluntary and has been carried out in earnest by all involved.
